Day 3
Cooking like an Italian Chef!
  • After breakfast, meet your chef/teacher and head to the local market to learn how the Florentines shop before heading to chef's kitchen to learn to prepare a traditional Italian meal! After, enjoy the meal you've created!

  • Use this afternoon to explore Florence on your own. Perhaps you want to hit another museum, shop for some of Florence's famous leather goods, or maybe you just want to eat more gelato! Enjoy your final dinner in Florence on your own.

Inclusions: Breakfast, private cooking class, lunch, and accommodations in a shared room with one other person

Day 4
Wine and Dine.
  • After breakfast, say farewell to Florence and venture into the countryside! Head to our favorite Tuscan wineries to try famous Chianti Classico wine! Visit with the winemaker, walking through the vineyards and the cellar! Enjoy a wine pairing lunch and visit the towns of Chianti in the afternoon.

  • End the day at our Tuscan countryside estate! Settle in at our home for the next two nights and enjoy a farm to table meal at the estate.

Inclusions: Breakfast, 2 wine tastings/tour, wine pairing lunch, dinner, transportation for all included activities, and accommodations in a shared room with one other person

Day 8
Do as the Romans Do!
  • On this final day in Rome, do as the Romans do! This also means do as you like! This is your day to explore what interests you most about Rome! Maybe you want to check out one of the local markets, rent a bicycle to see the city on 2 wheels, or sleep-in and explore town looking for the best gelato spot (hint – your trip leader can share the top spots!). Or perhaps you want to fit in another museum day, exploring one of the most fascinating museums in Europe – the Vatican Museums. With the same ticket, you gain access to see Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel along with the largest church on Earth – St. Peter’s.

  • This evening, for our final dinner, we have the special privilege to eat in a Roman home! Our host will welcome us into her home with a welcome drink where we will toast to our week in Italy. She will prepare a multi-course meal for us and we will enjoy the experience of eating like a real Roman!
